I was just sitting here planning/daydreaming of my outside enclosure for my Russian Tortoise, Weian. Since I live in SE Michigan, and we get some pretty doozy thunderstorms, I was wondering if they effect the toroises in any way? Is there anyway to make them more "comfortable" during them or should I just bring her inside when I know that there will be a good chance of storms coming?

If you try to have the area slightly sloped so the water runs off, then when a storm is coming, just put the tortoise in his dry hiding place, shut the door and block it so he can't come out until after the storm. You can have a lifting roof so you can add food and water inside if the storm lasts for any length of time.
