Hi yall, I made a previous post about my tortoise not eating like normal, and I think I discovered its his uv light.
The output was lower than before so I readjusted it, but now im realizing that its only reading the proper UV directly under it in a straight line in the middle of the enclosure. He tends to stay to the edges, so its might not be really hitting him. The rest of the enclosure and where he likes to hang out is reading at like 1 or even under 1.
I was under the impression that you mount it in the center of the enclosure, but then why is the uv not distributing?
Does anyone having any advice for a better way to hang it?
I’ve attached a photo, and the horizontal one in the back is the uvb with the LED ambient light being closer to the camera.
(Also i know he needs a humid hide, i’ve bought the stuff I just need to carve it out later today)
