Hi. I was wondering if this would be suitable for Billy my Marginated, who is roughly 8 inches long? It's 47 inches long, 16 High and 20 depth (front to back). If not, I am willing to buy a bigger cage which was the original plan anyway (He gets updated every year and last year (before hibernation) he was in a large guinea pig cage,) But as I have this available, I thought is was worth asking.

Sorry. What type of tortoise?
Is it going to be high humidity?
Is it wood or particle wood with veneer?
Hi. It was advertised as oak but to me, it certainly doesn't seem like Oak. It has kept a snake in before and was designed for reptiles so it should be safe. The humidity will be about 60%. Or roughly around that. Also, he is a Marginated.

That's not big enough. You should be planning on making Billy a 4'x8' enclosure at this stage.
OK. Thank you, I thought so. But as he is so small for his age I thought to ask anyway. I love buying his new cage anyway, I find it really exciting for some reason :)

At 8 inches I would go at least 6 ft x 3 ft.
