Temporary moving enclosure

I use these for moving, thought I would share. As you can see they are unacceptable for long term use based on the size. They do allow us to move and take down the current enclosure.

They are actually good enclosures for hatchlings upto maybe a year depending on how fast the tort grows. But otherwise yes, two small for long term for juniors and adults.
Nice idea for moving though. Thanks for sharing.

For lack of a fast answer, I’m guessing not very heavy. We all know how light those tubs are and with sphagnum moss as the substrate it can’t be too heavy, logically speaking, correct?

Sorry for the delayed response.

Weight will be Dependent on what substrate you use and the depth of substrate you put in the totes. I used 3-6 inches (gradient starting from one end as pictured) hardwood mulch and they were heavy. I didn’t weigh them but they were probably ~50 pounds.
