In the final stages of making Colin's new indoor enclosure! Wanted to make one at the start of the year but things happened and we didn't get to, so I'm glad to have it nearly done now.
Just wondering if it's safe to pain the inside of the table, and if so what paint I should use? If no paint, is there any need to varnish it? The bottom is lined with pond liner, but as the walls are exposed I am worried about damage due to moisture etc.

Thanks
Sophie

I painted mine, but left it sit unoccupied for a week. My liner actually covered the entire bottom and sides afterwards.

The pond liner should / could have been folded & cut to go up the sides many inches. This keeps the substrate from touching the bare wood.
