Hi everyone

I have two wonderful African Sulcata tortoises who are both female. I love the way they interact with the world and I always look on tortoise forum for advice on how best to care for them. Today I noticed a small brown growth in my 17 year Travis’s mouth. She is behaving normally and is spirited as ever. I have already contacted my vet but wanted to see if anyone has had a similar growth?

Welcome wish I could help. That's great that you noticed it.

It's kind of hard to see in the blurry picture, but my "GUESS" is that he bit his tongue and it may be a blood blister. If it were my tortoise I would adopt a wait and see attitude.

Ah, yes. . . that's not his tongue. I'm sorry, but I don't know what to make of it.
