Turtle Bonding Experience

Turtle bonding time <3

My friend suggested I be more social with my baby turtle so that it’s more trusting of me. He also suggested to put him on my chest, where my heart is, because they like to listen to your heart beat and breathing. Once it was on my chest it got the courage to run around, but I’m not that sure if it was because it felt less in danger, or if it was just so scared it didn’t care, but it SEEMED okay.

When it was on my stomach, my tummy gurgled and he popped his head up like he was wondering what the sound was, it was really funny. If you have any comments or suggestions, please inbox me.

I think that if the turtle is new to you and you to the turtle then go slow and easy..and I would not pick em up toooo toooo much as this may frighten him....but do give him treats and you can interact with him on a daily basis and he will get use to you ...be patient and before long when you walk anywhere in sight of him he will put on a great show of "hey look at me...I AM STAAAAARVINGGGGGGG" dance, water slapping and waves of fun They can be so convincing that you may even question yourself...Hmmm, did I feed them today or not???? lol
