They seem to relax in the most uncomfortable looking positions and places sometimes.
Looks fine to me.

My tort sometimes does this. It seemed worrying at the beginning, but I later came to find out that it's ok. So do not worry.

she hid there the whole day. i took her out from the corner and she only ate when hand fed, then goes back to that spot.

How long have you had the tort for? These cute little animals take time to get used to: new place, environment, owner, climate, and all the rest. So if it's new to the place and to you, of course, then please be patient. I have come to a conclusion: only very patient people can deal with a tort/have a tort as a pet. (Please don't take this personal).

I've had my Greek tort for over four years. Believe it or not I am obliged to hand feed it; otherwise it won't eat. Moreover, it got into a 'funny mood' a couple of weeks ago: it wouldn't move ONE CENTIMETRE, it wouldn't eat...and so on. I was adviced not to worry. Even animals have a brain and a nervous system, so they too can get into 'bad moods' so as to speak.

Good luck.

Oh yes, it's going to take some time till it gets used to its new enclosure, so please take it easy.

I remember I changed the carpet of a room, and my tort nuts drove me nuts till it got used to the 'new' one which is now more than a year old.

Yes, I'm fairly sure it's just a case of adjusting to a new territory.
That would be quite normal.
