White lines

Sheldon has thin white lines along where he grows not sure if you can see in the picture? They are a lot brighter than the rest of the shell? Anyone know what they could be?

From what I can make out, they simply are growth lines....sometimes they will appear lighter in color than the rest of the surroundings....your tort has a beautiful shell, so keep up the hydrating and soaking and the shell should continue to thrive...

It's grow lines these zone are frequently lighter in color than the rest of the shell.
She's very nice =)

Like everybody else, I am only seeing a beautiful shell that is on a healthy, growing tortoises.

I concur...beautiful growing tort and the white is normal around the scutes.

Wow thanks for all the nice comments he was slightly bumpy when we got him but ever since we have followed all the instructions from this forum he has started growing a lot smoother!!
