Won't Eat Cuttlebone

After being on this forum I got my rescue three toes box turtles some cuttlebone. They didn't pay attention to it. So I put food on and around it. Still no bite marks. I put calcium on a banana once a week. Are they just healthy or not into new things?

Many turtles and tortoises ignore it. Sometimes permanently and sometimes they will eventually start munching on it. I had one in with Daisy for around 6 months and she never touched it. Then one day, she ate half of it. Finished off the other half about a month after that. It won't harm anything to just leave it in there. Someday, they may want it.
