Welcome keep him on greens and cactus if you can get it. Stay away from cucumber, bell peppers or squash just greens. You can get some wheatgrass seeds and grow in small tera cata pots. It grows fast and you can trim some on top of the food.
Watch out it gets real sticky like glue. Lol I started Opo out like that and now have a pad for him all the time. Sometimes he devours it and sometimes he nibbles. After 2 days if it's not gone I throw it away and get another.Grate it over other food items with a cheesegrater ....

That’s fantastic weight gain!!!UPDATE: His poos seem a little less watery (see photo), but still look pretty mushy and like he's just passing undigested food. He's still eating well and has gained about 50g since I got him. Thoughts?

That does look a bit better, have you tried zoomed grassland tortoise diet before? You soak them in water.Well I'm back with more poo photos...hooray! (said no one ever.)
As you can see, the consistency is much improved but it's still not where it should be. And he did have a couple days of just a small bout of brown/yellow diarrhea, but I have been introducing him to many new foods.
Other than that, he still has a hefty appetite and after an initial influx in weight gain, has been gaining steadily. He's not straining to go or anything and seems to be more and more comfortable in his surroundings.
Does this look like something that just needs time and a healthy diet to be resolved? (It's been about a month and a half now since I got him.) Or should I take him to the vet for a more thorough fecal? I'm just really, really wary of the vet and would only wanna go if it's super necessary, but at the same time, I don't want the little guy to be secretly suffering.
@Yvonne G @Tom Any thoughts?

When one of mine had soft stools I used a couple of these and it sorted the problem really quickly. It’s full of fiber!!!
Well good little tort, eating the healthier options. But in this case we need you to eat the mazuriThanks for the tip! I haven't tried that kind, but I've been trying to get him to eat Mazuri, and he mainly ignores it. I've been trying to introduce it slowly mixed in with his greens.
