This is our Gamera (named from Godzilla). Our vet put her about 4-5 years and is 1 lb 1oz or 16.5 grams. Weve had her about a year.
It looks like your little Gamera is actually a Russian tortoise :). Were you told it was a Hermann's?

These are my tortoises. They were my mother’s and when she passed away in July 20 I became their owners. The smallest, Buster was found walking along the road by my father. Couldn’t find owner and brought him home. That was in 1964. He doesn’t seem to grown much in that time. The two largest, Susan and Angela Angela arrived in family in 1968 when my school friend emigrated Susan and Lyra, back right were acquired when needed rejoining in 1970 Colin, back left, joined the clan a couple of days after mum passed A man came to her house wondering if he was hers I said I’d look after him Posted notice on Facebook, community website, vets, for microchip and also on their website, posters and called at every house in vicinity Nobody claimed him ? Did the man just want a good home He found one They have been brumating in garden, but with freezing temps in plastic box in greenhouse, Unheated I’ll put back when warms up next week 1DD76BC5-4279-48F1-B31C-9B31DB636B21.jpeg

Yes. I believe so. As you see they’ve been in family a long time. I’ve been very worried about them surviving brumation. Next year I won’t do much.
I know Buster is male, there are females as eggs most years.

So sweet! My tort loves music too! Maybe its a hermann thing?
Love the name too!
Thanks! How interesting. Am curious how many others have noticed this. Mochi will sometimes even sit with her head to the wall on side of enclosure adjacent to wherever music may be coming from. Loving this about her!

We were told she was a Russian when we got her but later someone had said a western Herman. Fter I posted i looked at all of the adorable pictures and realized she definitely was not a Herman's ? Russian she is!

Thank you for rebooting the thread!

These are my Hermann’s Ivy and Murphey, I’m not sure how much they weigh but they are around 2 years old! Ivy loves to dig and sleep but is also very curious and Murphey... well he is a mood ?

Here's my 2 youngsters that hatched out here from my adult pair. On the left in the first pic Gene the male is the oldest is 19 months old and weighs 412 grams. On the right is Spot a female that is 16 months old and weighs 582 grams. Last fall I decided to keep Spot awake for the winter because of her smaller size, and she has passed Gene in size and weight much more than I expected. They both are about 5 inches in lenght.Picture 014.jpgIn this pic Spot is on the left and Gene is on the right.Picture 015.jpgThey are not usually this clean I cleaned them up just for these pictures today.
