-7 here at the moment, -30 wind chill. Power went out last night for about 4 hours when the wind blew a tree down across the power lines. "Working" from home today. lol

None ya no cold unless you get into the minus in temps and even colder when the wind chill is minus double digits.
My high today will be zero.
We are now -7 with wind chill temp - teens to - thirties.

So I went outside at abt 2:30 am cuz it looked funny outside...we have about 2 inches of ice over everything. No driving at all. nobody can even get out of the park. I went out barefoot, found out it was icy as I slipped and fell even tho I was holding on...it's dangerously awful

So it's 8:30 and not one vehicle has made it up the slight incline and out of the park. And there is no noise from the hiway, not 1 thing moving, so quiet...

Bite me!!! cold my a**. Yesterday I left at 5:30 am to go to OSU to pick up my grandson who works there...I zipped over and back. It was 27 degrees. Then at 9 am I hadda go back to town, now it's 23 degrees...my heater doesn't blow hot so I am bundled up with a blanket over my lap, I was warm enuf...so I went out to the hiway about 1/2 a mile away...A 2 lane 55 mph hiway. I sit at the stop sign...and there's my spot...and I do see the semi coming, so out I go and sorta step on it...and my *** end came around and my front end made a left turn...OMG! almost completely sideways...of course there was no accident...but sometimes I scare myself. we were supposed to have ice and snow all week end...but it's 40 degrees now and supposed to be in the 50's. Merry Christmas

Maggie! You scare us too! Thank goodness you're OK! Please be careful!

When Pete and I were in our truck, we overnighted at one of the rest areas just outside Chicago. When I lifted our 2 dogs down to the pavement, their feet instantly froze to the ice. After getting them loose, I carried them to the snow pile, which was warmer. We had a generator running, but also idled the engine so our fuel crossover line wouldn't freeze. Next purchase was an engine heater.

Snowed like heck for 30 minutes, hailed at Kerry's 50 miles away as the crow flies......27F now...chilly for us but nothing like you guys have it!

I woke up to my front windows having iced up windows even on the inside. I haven't been able to see outside to check on the birds all day. I'm cooking soup beans in the crockpot to see if I can get the windows to thaw. The temps have been hovering around -1 to 1°f all day. At least we're at 0°f in the front yard and -0°f in the backyard now. Once in a while I guess the sun shines on my outside gages. Last night scared me with the winds and I've been thru hurricanes that didn't. I'm very thankful that we haven't lost electricity.🤗

What's crazy is next week I think it's Thursday and Friday we are suppose to get low to mid 40's. That will be like a heat wave.

I haven't seen it this cold in Ohio since the 90's. Maybe not even then. Im at -1 in the back yard and -0 in the front yard and have been all day. I'm adding extra heat other ways to keep from using too much electricity. Our home is easy to heat and Im still having to do all that including increasing humidity.

And well...now it's -0 out back not quite -1 I guess but 0.0 in the front yard 😁🥶 whatever 🤔🥶🥶🥶🥶 it's too dang cold for me to stick my nose out the door today.
