Good I’m glad. I haven’t finished my Xmas shopping yet but it’s just little finishing off presents still to get.
The ever so talented friend of mine who does art & crafts has drawn a wonderful picture of my sisters 3 cats. It’s done in pencil & is face only all together in one picture. It’s really good, expensive, but good!
It’s going to be their main Xmas present. I predict tears, good ones
No sanctuary visit today as Pete had a what they think is a basal cell growth removed from his back yesterday. He has a few stitches so was warned against stretching & bending so he’s given them a miss today. Instead he’s currently scoffing the Xmas nuts. Doubt there will be any left by Xmas

The weather was better today, and we went to Bideford to get something Richard had ordered, but took a scenic route which turned out to be really lovely - lots of very long views, lots of huge trees, and lots of gold and ginger leaves still visible - it's a road we rarely go on, but I think we shall be back with a camera in the spring! Zola was very contented on my lap, and we had our fireside stroke this evening - he really does enjoy it - he knows I do it for him, and he appreciates it - he never wants it to stop,though of course I would stop if he got fidgety or bored !
Any more news about your neighbour, Natrah? I really hope that will be over soon.

Just a short note to say I'm going through my Xmas card list and it's taking a long time with the pupils. I hope you'll all be okay tomorrow with the rain. I am having a tooth refilled tomorrow after my recent filling came out! I'm afraid I haven't heard anymore about the neighbour and unfortunately his flatmate is still around. Yes it will probably go all the way to court and I can't believe how stupid they are.

I've been a bit quieter than usual because on top of the teaching I have been preparing for the end of term and Xmas. I have always given cards to the pupils and this year there are thirty-six of them plus family, friends and neighbours but I have done most of them so normal service can be resumed soon although I have a carol concert on Sunday. Anyway Angie's cute photo of two year old Zola has reminded me of something that mum told me about Daisy. My brother has mum's photos of Jacky and Daisy and her two cats Skippy and Chloe. Jacky was already quite big when mum had her in 1950 although the photos show that she was not fully grown but Daisy was quite small! At that size she was a lot faster and got up to all sorts of mischief. I don't know what she got up to but mum and nana were kept on their toes and they needed to know where she was at all times. Eventually she slowed down but she was still able to go next door or disappear! I can't imagine Zola misbehaving like Daisy!

Dear Natrah - you have never been unfortunate enough to see Zola in a really cross mood ! Usually it is really difficult to work out why he is cross, but it generally involves a lot of poo, and objects being attacked - including his mum's feet (even in his favourite shoes ) ! I find with him that changing the subject can often stop him - a few minutes being held quietly, in a different room, with a lot of stroking and a bit of cucumber usually does the trick. Having been a special education teacher I have had a fair bit of practice !
Richard and I decided to give ourselves a special Christmas present of a new lava lamp this year - we have had a couple for many years, and they are switched on every night while we watch tv -but we feared they didn't exist any more. However, we got two on line, which have just arrived,(red and blue) and then in the Lidl weekly leaflet I saw one there too, on sale from today, so we got there quite early, and were able to get one of the only two they had ! it has a sort of rainbow effect of different colours -very pretty -so we now have
lots more things to watch if the tv is boring !
