I actually thought all the different foods were for you, Natrah, so I'm glad that you have friends with you to help you eat it all!

Hello Natrah - when Richard lights the little fire beside which Zola has his stroking sessions with me, he usually takes Zola with him - resting him on his knee as he bends down - at first Zola was a bit puzzled about the fire, but now he has become really interested - he helps his dad hold the lighter to the wood, and watches as the flame appears and grows brighter - especially when it starts moving ! It is amazing how many things he shows interest in !
Love to all from Angie xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

I am picturing @The_Four_Toed_Edward in snow covered Finland, Sue on her steam train and Angie stroking Zola by the fire (I hope @Chefdenoel10 is okay as she's been very quiet). I have been doing little for the big day and tomorrow I must finish the food shopping. I just want everyone to enjoy the photos below showing the Hyacinths just about to flower and two parrots in my friend's apple tree in Perth Australia. They are well camouflaged so I hope you can see them.

Goodnight everyone

We had an enjoyable meal on the steam train. Because we have been going regularly every year close to Christmas we did notice some of the things they have cut back on this year. It’s a shame as it not as good as it was whilst being more expensive. No Xmas crackers this year. I noticed you had them in your photos of your meal with your friends & helps make the tables look festive. They had also removed all the window wiper blocks, can’t remember what they are called ( like the blackboard wipers at school) so we couldn’t clear the steamed up windows. We heard someone ask about them & they were told it was because they kept “disappearing”. It was a bit Fawlty Towers at times, not intended, but we found it amusing.
I’ve now got some sort of cold (URI) which I suppose will be with me for Xmas but it’s not flu or Covid so shouldn’t be too bad.

Dear all -Yesterday Richard had a wonderful surprise - he was out seeing to the bird feeders when the robin appeared - (he has hardly been around at all recently )- he stood on a branch glaring meaningfully at Richard, so of course Richard obediently hurried to get the mealworms and held some out on his hand - the robin flew down at once, and grabbed a whole lot of them -then flew off immediately ! Not a word (or cheep) of thanks, but that's ok ! Nice to see him for Christmas, anyway !

Aww! Angie he must have been starving. I've just put the washing out and it's a lot colder so he'll be back for more.

Good evening everyone!

Below is a picture of the Hyacinths 23rd December plus Mince Pies. It was colder out today and I what thought was all of the shopping until I came and found that I should have bought more limes. Oh well there's still tomorrow and maybe I'll get some bay leaves as well for the turkey. It was pandemonium in Sainsbury's and I noticed two drunk alcoholics who were probably also drug addicts in the drinks aisle. The poor shop assistant didn't know what to do with them.

Goodnight

PS: It seems that the former neighbours could have been growing Cannabis in the loft according to the decorators and according to one of the other neighbours they are meant to be telling the landlords. I want to ask the contractors about this if I see them tomorrow.

Hello everyone - the robin came to Richard really quickly today - Richard used to do a special whistle to call him, and he seems to have remembered it - he was quite calm, and took a lot of mealworms, so perhaps he has realised that it is quite safe to come to him, even if he is wearing glasses or a different jacket. We really want him to stay around, especially as the weather isn't going to be too good. One problem is that there is a gang of starlings hanging round our garden - they are real bullies, and take over all the bird feeders. They are quite handsome, and of course famous for their flying in huge groups, but we really wish they would leave our garden alone -they are absolutely not welcome !
Zola and I had an especially long stroking session earlier, and he really really enjoyed it. It's so wonderful to know that I am making him happy - he puts up with a lot from us, and deserves all the best in return.
Love from Angie to everyone xxxxxxxxx

It really wouldn’t surprise me if they were from what you’ve said. Good riddance. Fire hazard having them as tenents.

Hello Natrah - Richard took Zola to look at the sea this morning, and met a lady who said she had seen Zola before, but her daughter didn't believe her when she told her! She asked if she could take a photo of Zola, to prove it,which she did - and Richard said "you must tell your daughter to always believe what her mother says in future !"

Turned really cold today only about 3 or 4 degrees forecast said it would be 8! We went to see a Christmas film this afternoon. Was quite good. Walking back to the car park I could have done with my gloves. We passed our Guildhall & saw a couple posing on the steps, they had just got married 😊 Big Christmas trees all lit up in the background of their photos. Looked lovely!
Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas 🎄

Good evening everyone!

Last night wasn't too bad and it looks like they are finishing off today. Sue and Angie do you remember Fawlty Towers? My friends and I saw Fawlty Towers The Play today and it was hilarious. Below is a photo of the program and the beautiful sunset but the photo doesn't do it justice.

Goodnight everyone

I love the “Fawlty Towers “ episode where the fly was in the soup. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
We got that program over here on the television a long time ago ; along with some others like
“Are you being served and Goody Gum Drops?

The song goes like this :

Eh..emm…..

“ Goody!!!!
Goody goody gum drops…
goodies we’re comin’ your way…
Goody, Goody goody gum drops”……etc..

Dos the sound familiar to anyone?
Or was I drunk? 🤣

I think that’s the mame of it???
