Good afternoon everyone!

I know Natrah misses her dad so I decided to leave her a few presents in the garden 🤣!

Jacky 🐢

PS: Sapphire you do keep your mum busy!
That’s kind of you Jacky!
George leaves us presents outside too thankfully covered up 🤭
Dickie came out herself today after the morning rain passed. Once she’d had her fill of food she took herself back in her house. As it was sunny I thought she should be out in it so Pete got her back out & she has stayed out now although it’s windy.
We’ve noticed she does this quite often & I'm beginning to suspect she doesn’t like all the bird activity when their food is replenished so goes back inside her house. It’s probably instinctive to keep away from predators perhaps? Not that I’ve heard of birds attacking tortoises but I’m not surprised she might feel a bit nervous with the size of some of the corvids.
Here is a picture of one of the rooks that visit. Also @Chefdenoel10 a not so good picture of a Jackdaw with the grey neck, middle pic. The crows are frequent visitors as well, along with the usual smaller birds that keep out the way when they are around.

I once had a dove check out Sapphire. She landed and walked around him. She thoroughly checked him out while I was sitting there. I've also watched geese, all in a row, totally check out a snake in the yard . Snakes will eat their eggs. The snake thought better and left 😉 I think birds consider reptiles a peditor. I think the dove thought Sapphire was a snake just by the way she was acting. He does waltz around with a pattern on his back. Dickie probably gets tired of being the center of attention.😊

Thank you so much for showing me a jackdaw!!!
I had no idea!!🤷‍♀️
Looks like a crow that got itself into a bowl of flour??? 🤣 or cocaine? 😂🤣
Is its beak supposed to be white like that?
That’s kinda cool!😎
Birds are fascinating creatures
Smart as a whip when need to be…

Today we had a storm on the way and I stepped outside to …well…. 🚬
(I know,I know)….
But as I stepped outside an un heard of wind speed of 80mph whipped me against the door and we both slammed into the deck railing!

I couldn’t believe it!! I’m stocky so I can’t understand how I even moved like that?
But my point was going to be …

There was a wee squirrel 🐿️ climbing the railing at the same time.
When me and the door slammed into it the squirrel and I just held on for dear life and looked at each other as if to say…
“Hey, listen… you don’t touch me and I won’t touch you till we get through this thing ok?”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I swear if it could talk that’s what it would have said!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You had to see that little squirrel hanging on for dear life and all I could do was watch as I was pressed firmly against the door 🚪 🤣

When it was all over (about 1 whole minute)
You should have seen this squirrel 🐿️
LITERALLY JUMP INTO THE AIR
(Exactly like one of those flying squirts)
And onto the neighbors fence!
It had to hurt a little because he scurried down it as if his feet were AHEAD of him!
and off he went….
Leaving me being battered by a (not so intense) wind gust again. 😆

Squirrels (while annoying sometimes) are very intelligent creatures and have my utmost respect as of now.
I will leave him food tomorrow as he was my friend today because he could have bitten my entire face off if he wanted to in that moment of my weakness . That is to show you how close we were together! 😆😆🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😝

P.S.- Good luck tomorrow with your concert Natrah!!!
I know you’ll be great!!!
P.S.S—- I’m in the third row!! 😘😃👍❤️🙏

Dear Natrah - I hope your concert goes really well, and that you will enjoy playing in the orchestra as much as the audience will enjoy listening to you. Is there ever a film made of your concerts? I would definitely get a copy if so !
Lots of love from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Today on the menu for Edward is dandelion leaves with hawkbit flowers and daylilies from my dad's garden. They are a traditional perennial here and something that was growing in the garden way back when my dad bought the house. I am in my hometown as I can finish rest ofy course work here and Edward can enjoy his outdoor enclosure on nice days.

Think it’s a trick of the light. They do look like crows but with a grey neck, quite distinguished.
I’ve seen YouTube clips of squirrels jumping on people as they come out of their front doors & wondered if the squirrels in the US were a bit vicious! I don’t think they are here. People take nuts to the park to feed them here & they are very cute.
Hope the concert goes well Natrah

Well the I love the bird.
Beak and all! 🤗
As far as I know the squirrels 🐿️ here in America are like New Yorkers..
Always ready for a fight unless you have food.
Even then when they are done I’m sure they are thinking (as they are staring at you)
“What are YOOUU lookin’at ?” 🤨
So you smile and walk back inside your house backwards so you don’t get jumped.

Natrah!!!!
I want a full report tonight when I get back!
Happy day everyone!! 😃🎈

I hadn’t heard of daylilies before so looked them up. We have them too quite common here apparently under their many varieties names. I’ll try to get some

Good evening everyone!

After a two and a half hour rehearsal and two concert I am very pleased with the way it all went. The conductor was very confident with us as he took the Britten faster than in the rehearsals! Also I must have been thinking about the concert last night as Mendelssohn's Hebrides Overture was in my dream!

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy
