Just checked the incubator and one of my Bell's eggs has pipped!!!

Will update with pics as things develop...

Kelly, I didn't diapause them but I did keep them cool (low 70's) for a few weeks. The upper limit was 81 or 82 degrees.

This egg worried me quite a bit because shortly after it began to develop it cracked, presumably because of excess moisture. I placed a steri strip over the crack which is something I've done with Pyxis eggs over the years.

Thankfully it worked!

Tim, without the males you found for me I would still have an enclosure full of spinster females. Thanks for finding them!

I am thrilled it turned out as hoped!! How very cool. Not many captive bred Bells around!!!

(I'm still in need of females for my poor lonely Bells guys here-still looking and hoping)
If it was easier to do I would let a male go to someone that could put them into a breeding program.
