big papa is on the right and big mama is on the left. Shes been nesting so im expecting eggs any day now.

Nice looking tortoises. I look forward to when my group is grown and reproducing. How many eggs does she normally lay?

Well the first clutch 4 years ago she laid 13. Unfortunately the male died and I just recently found this LTC male back in November. Imports were hard to deal with coming from bad importers. I'm very glad I found a nice healthy male and to keep the brown legacy going. I'm hoping she will lay a big clutch, she's a little over 16" and 32 pounds.

Wow, these are great pictures. Thanks for sharing. Would be interested in the nesting pictures also. What smooth shells they have. Very impressive, especially when you are dealing with the Texas heat...
