Thats Awesome. We have those guys hanging around in the creeks back home in Michigan. I am amazed at the power they have. They can snap a broomstick like it was a toothpick.

They're all over the pond here too. In Sept. we find babies all over the neighborhood, that the birds must drop. I never saw a leech around here though. YUK!

How cool must it be to have wild snappers running around your neighborhood?

That leech thing is weird though. First of all its seem very odd that it would attach to the shell like that, instead of somewhere fleshy where it could eat. Second, it appears to be full and so should have dropped off and gone somewhere quiet to digest. Odd that a full leech would attach and then ride around on a turtles shell.
