4'x4' is my planned enclosure. My Leo is approx 3" from head to tail. Should I cut enclosure in half? 2x4 for a year or two?

I wouldn't and don't be surprised if 4x4 only lasts about a year

No. 4x4' is good for a 3" leopard. You'll need to make it bigger in a year.
