Since John (squamata) brought it up, certainly resources such as TFO, etc contribute greatly to the continuous care of our tortoises. So, what I wanna know is which sites are your favorites. I know that a lot of you venture well beyond TFO...so you may pick more than one option. However, if you choose OTHER, please share with us all your choices.:tort:

Just like the others, TFO! This is the best site and I recommend it to everyone! It's actually on my care sheet that I send in my boxes to new tortoise owners, as I am such an advocate for this site!

I am also on African Tortoise.com, Russian tort, North American Box Turtle and Turtle Rescue of Long Island. I also often Google my questions and pick my answers from the answers offered.

I am on these too and do learn things from them. However I think my favorites are TFO, shelled warriors and then tortoise trust (because they have a small group of hingeback folks) and yes, in the order I gave them is their ranking.

I voted for TFO too, I seem to be on this site the most in part because it is very American captivity oriented.

But you left out Andy Highfields www.TortoiseTrustforum.org

It's a forum, primarily British oriented, devoted primarily to Testudo and a great source for Testudo gracea identification. Nobody has more field experience with Testudo (especially gracea subspecies) than Highfield. Love or hate him, he knows his Greek tortoises.

I used to belong to several list servs on the YAHOOgroups site, but once I became active on TFO I dropped all of those others. They are pretty closed-minded and don't really appreciate it when you offer advice that is a little off the center of the circle.

I also belong to Shelled Warriors, but I haven't made friends there and its a little hard for me to navigate.

I'm also on North American Box Turtle, Turtle Rescue of Long Island, Turtle Times, Tortoise Trust, and Red Ear Slider group, Kingsnake and SW's., and most of the Yahoo Groups. This is about the only one I'm consistent with, and is about the most friendly, and knowledgeable site, besides Turtle Rescue of Long Island, and I like Tortoise Trust, even with Andy H.'s "my way or the Highway" attitude.

Funny! I had Tortoise Trust in mind...and simply forgot about 'em! I guess they'd have to be included in OTHER!:D

I voted for TFO. I belong to two other tortoise forums but this one is by far the one I go on the most.
I'm kind of a forum junkie though :p
