Good evening everyone!

Angie how are you feeling today? I hope you're okay. We've had much better weather here and I had lunch at the local theatre cafe as usual before going to a craft fayre where I bought my first Xmas present. Anyway whilst I was having lunch I noticed a kestrel hovering for a few seconds before diving. I don't know if he caught anything but he clearly saw something.

Yesterday was enjoyable with the festival and the concert but it was a mad rush in poor weather. Anyway I am currently Kingdom and wondering why we need loud background music.

Goodnight everyone

Thank you Natrah - we are getting the hang of these injections, and yesterday's one was probably more efficient - at least, the pen gave a loud click at the end, to indicate that all the medicine was in - it didn't click last time, but you could see it had all gone in, anyway! It will certainly be better than having all those jabs in my head,if it really helps.
We had a woodpecker on one of our feeders today - nice in a way, but very destructive. The robin is still very moody with Richard, even though he grabs a few worms of his hand - I think he blames him for the weather !

Dear Angie,

I'd love to see that Woodpecker but anyway when I opened the fridge I noticed Jacky 'snoring'.

Dear Natrah -when I give Zola his daily fireside stroke, he often chooses to get very close to my ear - and then I can hear him make little rhythmic sniffly sounds, which I think are his version of snoring - it is very endearing, and I feel honoured that he trusts me when he does this !
The weather is very changeable, and we have had a lot of very heavy rain, but then sudden bursts of sunshine - really cold, too. Richard managed a walk yesterday round Tamar Lake, and was able to get a good look at where the beavers have been introduced, but didn't actually see any -lots of chewed sticks
around though !

Good evening everyone!

It's been a damp cold day. I noticed Jacky moving her head about in the fridge yesterday so it looked like she was snoring. Like Zola she is content and very relaxed. You might see the beavers one day at Tamar Lake Angie. Did Zola see the sea today? Is Dickie in the garage Sue?

Hello Natrah -The beavers in the lake are hibernating, I think, but Richard went for another walk there today, and took some photos of where they are, which I hope I shall be able to send you soon. We thought it was too cold for Zola to go on the breakwater, but he did go to look at the sea. There is a viewing point a short walk from the car park, and people often leave flowers in memory of someone who used to love going there (there is a big rock that people can sit on) - and recently quite a few coloured pebbles with the names of people who used to go there. It is really quite touching, but today someone had shoved a squashed beer can right in the middle of them, obviously on purpose ! Richard was furious - he took it away to put in a bin - but it was just so offensive to leave it there ! People can be really horrible, can't they !
Love to you and our friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Yes Jacky was moving her head as if she was snoring and it was interesting to see. Considering they keep talking about it getting milder I found it quite cold today so I'm not surprised Zola didn't get his walk. I didn't know that beavers hibernate but it would be lovely to see photos. I'm afraid there are some horrible people around and I would have been furious to see that can as well. I did some Xmas shopping ahead of tomorrow's last rehearsal and I went into Tomassi's for lunch. I had Turkey wrap and Xmas Pudding for dessert!

Goodnight everyone

We had snow this morning, for the first time, which eventually became rain - and a very cold wind - not much fun for Zola, as his room can get quite chilly - there are always 2 or 3 areas that are really warm though, for him - just he doesn't always choose to go there. I'm not feeling very well - I don't come into contact with a lot of people,as Richard does the shopping, so I shouldn't catch things much, and I've had my flu and covid injections - hopefully it's nothing really.
Love to all our friends from Angie and Zola -we saw a rainbow today, and said hello to Daisy and Bonus and little Gary, of course xxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone,

Yes I like to think that Gary is up there alongwith Daisy and Bonus. Angie I hope you're feeling a bit better today. It's been a bit warmer here but the weather was very mixed today. Other than that I've had a good day and I had to go into Leigh for a haircut. Whilst I was there I visited the shop where I bought Jacky's ornament a couple of years ago and I bought a matching set of tortoise ornaments (see below). I had been aiming to replace the ornaments that were lost in storage.

There were two of them and they used to adorn opposite ends of the fireplace in the old house. One ornament was Jacky's and the other was Daisy's. I was in the middle of paying for these when I noticed the nutcracker which was the same as the one that was lost in storage. The nutcracker was Victorian and belonged to my grandmother and I am so pleased to find these.

Afterwards I made my way to Gemma's Kitchen where I had lunch but on the way I saw a Pied Wagtail who was looking forward his lunch as well. I watched him for a few minutes as I was concerned about him being too close to the road but he was okay.

Goodnight everyone

The tortoise ornaments are lovely, Natrah - and the nutcracker is amazing - you must have been so pleased to see it! I will try to send you a photo of where the beavers are living tomorrow - they don't actually hibernate, but stock up with lots of food where they are living under water, and stay there practically all the time, mostly asleep, I think. Maybe we shall get to see them in the spring. Tamar Lake, where they are, is part of the river Tamar, which is the border between the counties of Devon and Cornwall. When we first came to live here, there were quite a few older people who had never crossed theTamar - it was as though the two counties were totally separate countries. It is much less the case now, though !
Zola saw the sea from his usual spot, but no walk today.

Dear Natrah - I hope they really have gone -you will be able to sleep better tonight, if you are sure it's all really over.
Today, Richard had to go to the dentist for a filling in the back of his lower right jaw. We know the dentist well, and have been going to her for many years, so we trust her - but she had to give Richard FIVE big injections before she could do the job! He is all right, though his jaw is very sore - just glad it's over ! Zola and I sat in the car in the sunshine while we waited and worried - well, I worried, but Zola just spread himself on my lap to enjoy the sun - then Richard managed to carry him to his usual sea-watching point, so all was well.
Love to you and the Sleeping Beauty, and to all our friends from Angie and Zola (who is glad he doesn't have to go to any dentist - just a quick beak trim by Uncle Henry) xxxxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Ouch five injections I hope Richard's okay. How are you today Angie? Things are moving slowly upstairs so I predict a long noisy night. However they are heading in the right direction. @Chefdenoel10 I hope you can see the back of your neighbours at some point.

I better get to bed now

Goodnight everyone
