Good evening everyone!

We have both very busy today and whilst Natrah enjoyed herself at Tomassi's I was able to clean the bathroom. Please let me describe what I did in the picture below. I ventured out of the water tray and went straight through the food bowl and told the plant food where to go before cleaning behind the toilet. I then came back View attachment 401210View attachment 401211and disposed off the bucket before resting near the door.

Goodnight everyone

If we ever visit Southend we will definitely go to Tomassi’s
Pete would love those desserts!
Jacky’s bathroom antics are like us having a workout at the gym. Usually the shower is at the end though!
Keep it up Jacky you’ve got more energy than me & Dickie!

It has been really hot today, but Richard decided to take Zola for his walk, anyway. He said there were very few people around, and shops and cafes near the breakwater were all closed. He doesn't mind the heat much, himself, and Zola was quite happy - though very tired when he got back. He really appreciated his traditional long cuddle/stroke, and hardly moved once he got in his correct position, apart from pushing his dear little head up against my chin now and then - just to thank me and to remind me to keep on stroking !
I don't think it is going to get any warmer here, but to cool down slowly - I shall be glad when it does, as my headaches get worse in the heat and bright sun.
I hope all is well with everyone - love from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Been 31 indoors today despite 2 fans being on 🥵
George has found a cooler spot behind the shed & stays there for hours.
I haven’t done anything these past 3 days & the ironing is guilt tripping me so I’m hoping it might be a bit cooler tomorrow. Even Dickie hasn’t eaten much today, think it’s been too hot for her, not what she’s used to.
How’s it been for you today Natrah? Think you were in the red zone!

Good evening everyone!

Sue I think we're bordering the red zone but I'm concerned about Angie being in the red zone. It was slightly cooler here today but heaven help us tomorrow. Anyway Jacky has been eating like a horse in the early morning and then sleeping in the shade. I can't put her in the sun as she make a beeline for the shade when it warms. I've had fans and the air con on in the shop but at the end of the day my colleague informed that her air con in her room (which I use on Saturday morning) has broken and if it isn't repaired by then I will not be using that room!

Edward how is it in Finland? My brother has returned from 40 degrees Celsius in Spain. The bus ride to the pupil's earlier was pretty awful.

Goodnight

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy

PS: Good luck at the dentist Richard and keep cool everyone.

Currently 26 degrees Celsius in the flat.
That’s better but still warm for the evening. One of our thermometers says 30 & the other is 28 with the fan on & windows & doors open!
I daren’t look at the long range forecast. I know it’s supposed to be a bit better next week but considering it’s still June I dread to think what we’ll get at the height of summer.
Hope the air con can be sorted out asap. How is that person able to work herself in that room at the moment? How can anyone come to that!

Good afternoon tortoises!

A small white 🦋 tried to lay eggs on my breakfast today so I told her where to go. Zola how was your dad's dental appointment and were you able to go on the breakwater afterwards. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed your stroke. I enjoy kicking and shoving Natrah when she picks me up but I also love my strokes and chin rubs

Edward how is it in Finland?
It is pretty good so far, the heatwave should hit us maybe on Sunday or Monday but it won't be nearly as hot. It has been cloudy outside today and even though I don't have a fan, nor a window I can open (the only way for me is to open the balcony door to my glass balcony) my apartment has only reached 23 C which is bearable. I have switched to a thinner duvet, I am one of those who can't sleep without one.

I remember my apartment reaching 26 to 27 degrees last year when I came home after a heat wave. I think my balcony was 60 c, it is like a greenhouse out there if the glass panels are closed!

I came to my university city yesterday for a volunteering job I have next week, but I left Edward back in my home town. He will be well taken care of by my family and can go out in his outdoor enclosure and enjoy food from the garden.

Here AC is pretty common on public transport since it will help warm them up during the winter as well.

Let's all go to Finland it was 35 degrees Celsius this morning and it is 31 degrees Celsius outside now. What an afternoon I've had! I got all the way to Rayleigh and I was having dinner in the when the pupils' dad phoned and we ended up having to postpone the lesson so I had a more upmarket meal before doing some shopping and coming home. However the train's air con broke down and it was like a sauna!

Just cooking off with water!

Goodnight everyone

Going to jump in the bath. I think I've done okay in the heat.
We had a rather mixed up day - Richard had to wait for over an hour at the dentist before he was seen, and had a 45 minute appointment, which meant that Zola and I were waiting quite anxiously for him to get back - when he did (in a lot of pain) we decided to go out more or less straight away, as Zola was getting very cross and impatient. He calmed down a lot after getting his car ride and short walk, and managed to settle down with me happily for his afternoon stroke. He is a tortoise who likes what he likes, and makes it very clear when he is not happy about something different happening. Our fault, you might say, for "spoiling" him, but we try to make his life enjoyable and happy, and he rewards us in so many ways!
Love to all from Angie xxxxxxx
_p.s. Richard's tooth has stopped hurting as much at last !

Can Richard take Ibuprofen? I hope he feels a lot better tomorrow.
