Hmm, I think I had the time wrong earlier. Otherwise you would have said something by now. It was probably my time. Well, good luck with the vet later today.

Thanks so much, debora- we’re heading out now!
Taking into account how long it’s taken us before, I expect the drive, the wait, the visit and the drive home to take 4 hrs total. So we would be home around 6:00 pm our time, which will be 1:00 am Saturday morning in the Netherlands![emoji33][emoji33][emoji33]
(I think that’s where you are? [emoji2])

I will post as soon as I get home.
Hugs to ALL, and thank you once AGAIN for all your loving support!!!!

We’re done at the vet’s. I’m still in their parking lot, actually. As we sort of expected, Jacques’ white blood cell count is very high again. Also some inflammatory cells like the first time. We saw the partner instead of the vet we saw before just because the appointment was available. Very personable young woman, and seems very keen on Chelonia in general. She feels the Baytril has been used enough and is changing Jacques to a drug in the cephalosporin class, but I’ve already forgotten the name of the drug. She’ll stay at the vet a week, get her injections, some more Motrin. They’ll reassess at the end of the week.
I feel optimistic, and am glad I brought her in. [emoji2][emoji106]

Shame so you were right. She has gotten the infection back. Poor girl, but she is a fighter just like her Mommy and Daddy. Hopefully the new drug will stop it right in it's tracks. Holding thumbs for you all.
