I’m upgrading my box turtle to a 5x2x2. Reptifiles says to have a proper gradient, you need to have a t5 HO 5.0 that is around half the enclosure in length. Franklins current uvb is 22” long, is that close enough for about half the enclosure being 6in off, or should I get another foot long bulb. Also would I need to have the 5.0 closer than secured at the top of cage. I know that lengths are distance to basking spot. But wouldn’t the light be too weak to have the proper gradient throughout the full enclosure?
