There are several ways to keep it. Some put it in the freezer. I keep mine in a ziplock bag in the pantry. I've kept a supply for 6-8 months before with no problems. I've heard that it starts to smell terrible when it goes bad.
It can last well over a year if it is kept dry. I've spoken with some people who freeze what they don't use. I suspect it can last a pretty long time under that circumstance.

I have one little Sulcata tortoise and a big box of Mazuri. My Question is how long does it last? What is the best way to store it?
Ok Thanks, I have a gallon size zip-lock stuffed full plus a large plastic tupperware full. I better put some in the freezer I think it will last him a couple years.
I keep mine in an old cat litter container. It has a good lid and I fill it as necessary. The big bag is kept in the bag and in a dark closet in the Dale Earnhardt Memorial Worship room. It last a long time. I bought a 25 pound bag at the beginning of winter and I just this week fed the last of it and it still smelled fine and none of my torts have gotten sick on it. So my suggestion would be to keep it in a sealed container in the pantry.
