These 5 were picked up this morning, getting a soak and some worms then off to the country away from the roads.

It's been an over cast day with sprinkles, Mid 70's and these guys are out everywhere.

It was only a matter of time I thought last year you were on fire with rescues but then you start this year off with a bang! Sweet finds!

Thank you for being their hero. Sadly, here in Eastern PA, i have not seen a box turtle in the wild. The numbers are declining so badly. But i do help all the turtles cross the road if possible. Big snappers, well maybe not. but i might try to herd it out of the road.

Lol yep,....I did have a sad one though. Couldn't get turned around in time for 3 toed, she was going as fast as she could to cross the road. She didn't make it and had eggs.

Damn, i only SEE a dozen or so boxies a year here in the foothills of the Ozarks. I thought that was pretty decent.
