My Suriname cherry bushes are finally producing cherries and this morning I tossed some into Julios pen.
Now that (she) is my only tortoise, (I had 8 at one time. Plus babies)
I don't work too hard at food preparation. And she just isn't a fussy eater.

Months ago I rehomed most of my Redfoot.
It was just more than I had time for.
Some of them had laid eggs. Most did not hatch in the two store bought, fancy incubators that I had purchased.
This guy survived as an egg outdoors...In some high 40s, low 50 degree nights...And went 100% unditected by me for how long?
Amazing

I'm going to start advocating that if you live in south Florida and your torts are in an outdoor, secure environment.
Just leave the eggs alone.
Score?
Incubators:5
Nature:1. And I'll be looking. I'll bet there are more.
Lol. You are becoming like me. I have had no luck hatching eggs but harching outside has been a different ball game all together.

See, it has been a harsh spring, but the two of you were meant to be together! :p
Hope you can keep the baby, and if not, that he/she will find a wonderful home that would be nearly as good as yours. :<3: [emoji173]️
