We are expecting two little Leo's to join our family. Little Bobbie was not eating as well as the breeder would like so she's going to stay for another week or two, but we are excited to welcome Teddy home!

She came out of the box kicking! Got a warm bath and was not wanting to be patient and sit and enjoy her soak

She was put in her enclosure and after trampling substrate through her nice clean water, she immediately found the food dish and started noming down

With a little coaxing, she climbed into her nice wet and warm humid hide and is snoozing off her long day. Can't wait to have lil miss Bobbie join the family.

Very cute. Is that a South African leopard? Where did you acquire it from?

Hopefully soon! The original one I was wanting is not doing well and the breeder feels like it would benefit if it stayed longer to make sure it stays healthy. I was completely on board with that, so we are in the process of choosing another one. I am truly enjoying Teddy though, she is getting more and more active everyday. :0)

Enjoying a baby carrot soak with Teddy. Bobby is the one with three dots on the scute behind his neck. He is much lighter too. His eyes were a bit swollen upon arrival, so I figured a nice carrot soak would be good for him.

Then we got weights, Teddy:

And then time for num-nums

More pics! Both babies are settling in well. I think I had a 'new mommy' freak out because Bobby (the one I have had for a few weeks now) had swollen eyes for a day or so. Working with the breeder I was reassured that all my temps and enclosure seems okay. I played with my temps a tiny bit and did a carrot soak twice a day over the weekend and he is back up to his spunky self. We are thinking that maybe we was a little dehydrated despite the fact he has access to water (of course!), so I am going to continue to soak him twice a day for a few more weeks. Anyhow, here are some great NOM shots:

Both babies have been with us for a little over a month now. They are still doing great, eat like piggies, very active.

AND they got their 'Christmas' present a few days late :) it's about 8ft long and 2 1/2 feet wide. Plenty big for them for the next few years until they can go outside with Jesse. This was a stand for a 80 gallon tank we had in storage. It was cracked and we didn't really know what do with it. My hubby was generous enough to help me build the enclosure. So far I have been able to keep the humidity above 65-70 and temps are PERFECT! Able to keep more of a radiant with basking a good 100f, enclosure at about 95f, and cool side around 80-85. The humid hide is always 88-99% humidity and temps above 90f typically. We planted a few safe plants that were from a local pet store. They grow them in a natural organic soil and are meant to go in reptile enclosures.

The kitty prefers the new set up cause he can watch them all day :)

Babies are finally adventuring into the right side of their new enclosure where they have stones and more plants. The stones were by far the most interesting :0)
