Hi all, my tortoise passed a bladder stone a while back and i am worried because i've soaked her every other day since. she now
has really soft urates. however, in those soft urates, there are small ((very small) pieces that are gritty and crumbly. sometimes her poop is both diarrhea and healthy too.
Does anyone have a fix?
current care:
-mid60s at night, 70s ambient day, 90-100 basking
-34x44 inch enclosure with cococoir and orchid bark
-humidity is 50-70
-Arcadia light
-she has a water bowl that's big enough for soaking
-eats endive/frisée, (basically the salad mix at walmart) with testudo mix every few days. occasionally cucumber because she was constipated and had hard gritty urate stones. then she got diarrhea, I stopped. the diarrhea got better and now her urates are somehow both healthy, soft, egg-white like, and also have gritty bits.
-yes i am aware my care is not the best, i have been trying to do better.
other notes:
-the vet is very expensive where i am
-i am a student who just got hired, though due to the nature of the job i will not be paid at all until september. basically, i'm jobless.
-her past care was very bad and she didn't have a big enclosure, much outdooors time, and ate only romaine lettuce.
