Hi! We are new to the forum, but I used this site to help me research and get ready for my tortoise. My mom got me a russian back in March. She has been healthy and perfect since I brought her home. We were told she was a female, however I am starting to wonder otherwise. For the past week, when I bathe her, this thing comes out. She pulls it in all by herself. We did a google search of prolapse and genitals to figure put what this might be. I do bathe her everyday because we are concerned with hydration, as we never see her drink from her bowl. However, she gets water with her food which is escrole, romain, red leaf, kale and other greens we grow from home. If I don't have any to harvest, I do buy it from the grocer. Her eyes are clear and shiny, her nose dry, her shell hard and there is no peeling. She seems very healthy and happy. She runs around with me a lot. Is this something I need to be concerned with? It only stays out for a minute or so before she pulls it in. Oh, and we were told she is between 4 and 6 years old.

Thanks from Yoda and me in advance!

Thanks so much. I was worried that she was sick. Guess it's good I stuck with Yoda for her...now his...name.
