Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boas. Stunning animals.

Tom, no love for Morelia Boeleni? Great list by the way. Throw in some Ctenosauras in there and change the Eastern Hermanni to Western Hermanni. haha

I love the Boelins. Are they even available? I saw two hidden away in the back at the San Diego zoo 15 years ago. Never seen or heard of another one since. I like yniphora too, but they just aren't attainable here, are they?

Amazon Basin Emerald Tree Boas...twice the size (up to 10 feet) of Surinams and the most docile species I've ever seen...

There are several breeders in the states of Boelen's pythons...at least there were about 5 years ago!

How much typing space do we get? First off, I'll need several acres of land, a heated, insulated, 100x50' indoor reptile room, and a few million dollars to make it all happen. I'm way beyond wanting a single animal of any species. I want several breeding groups of each of the following:
Galops
Gpp
Ivory Sulcatas (I'll be keeping my current group of regular sulcatas until I die of old age too.)
Eastern Hermanns
CDT
TT
Geochelone playtynota
Platysternon megacephalum
Manouria emys phayeri
Geochelone radiata

For Lizards:
Tupinambis merianae
Tupinambis rufescens
Varanus albigularis
Varanus komodoensis
Cyclura cornuta
Chameleo melleri
Chameleo parsonii
Chameleo pardalis
Chameleo calyptratus

For snakes:
Morelia amethistina
Drymarchon couperi
Aspidites melanocephalus

For roaches:
Blaptica dubia
Blatta lateralis
Archimandrita tesselata
Gromphadoron portentosa
Blaberus craniifer

Plus a small troop of Papio anubis.

This would be my dream compound and when I win the lottery you guys can come see it all in person. I'll need the several million $ so that I don't have to go to work everyday and can spend all day, every day maintaining them and building new stuff for them. I'll need to hire a caretaker or two as well. Anyone want to apply for the job?

Olive baboons? Whatever for?

That's my favorite animal in the whole world. I've worked with several of them. I want one, or several, more than I've ever wanted any tortoise. I WILL have one someday. I've got all the contacts. I just need the property and the permits. If you are at all interested in them check out "Almost Human" by Shirley Strum.

They are simply amazing animals. Absolutely fascinating. I spent more time looking for and observing THEM in the wild than I did tortoises when I was in Africa. Although it was the Chacma baboons down near the cape.

Baboons are very cool! When my dad was working in the movies, we had a mandrill for the longest time (at least it seemed like a long time). Training them to be obedient isn't the coolest thing from what I recall, but once they are...;)

A Land Far Away...
There are a lot of tortoises and turtles I would like to spend some time working with, but I think if I could only have one it would be a Desert tortoise. I love the one old timer I was honored to have for his last years and would relish spending time with another one.

What I would love more then anything however, is time. Simply the time to get to stay home and work with my current bunch. It's kinda sad when I almost hunger I guess might be the term, to just get time to go home and clean enclosures. So if somebody could simply duplicate me and let the clone me be out driving the semi, while the real me could stay home. :D
