While I still have about 2.5-3 months before it gets tooooo cold to leave the babies out my question is this when I move them inside for the winter will I have to use a UVB bulb? (I haven't purchased one since my babies spend 2-4 hours outside a day) I know they won't be as good as the real thing but with the rapid growth of a baby sulcata guessing I'll need it but what wave length my gut says 10.0 fluorescent or would a mvb be better?

Some, whose torts are outside all summer long, don't use a UVB during the winter indoor months. Some do. I live in Chicago, with a leopard, 17 months. I have always used a UVB. I figure, won't hurt, but without one, could possibly hurt? Especially for ones who don't get outside as much in the summer. I just play it safe. I use a power sun MVB.

MEGARAY ???? That guy screwed a LOT of people over the last few years, including me. Bulbs lasting a week. No answers to repeated emails. Don't be another victim despite what others might say. A powersun will be fine.
