Here's a picture of our new guy, his name is Fred according to my 5 year old. I am hoping he changes it soon, lol. Don't mind his extremely over grown beak. I tried to file it a tad yesterday but I want him to have time to adjust to his new environment.

nice tort, where did you get him if you dont mind me asking? Fred isnt bad. hha

oh nice, a craigslist rescue. if you keep a cuttlebone in his enclosure it'll help with the overgrown beak. but you will need to trim it

Yeah I have one in there but he doesn't seem interested in it in the least-at least not that I have seen. I also have been laying his food on a slate title to try to trim it down a little.

Regarding your travel enclosure, the walls look very climbable for a Russian tortoise.

Be careful. An escape could lead to being step on or lost forever.
