We have had quite a bit of rain in the past few days, but it has perked up a lot of the plants, and our little buddleia is growing well. The petunias tend to get rather limp, and don't always recover, but new flowers have kept on coming !
I know you love your icecream, Natrah - have you tried MACKIE'S of Scotland ? We get it in big tubs in Morrisons and it is our all-time favourite - apart from the ones we had in Venice, years ago ! We get it in vanilla, or in honeycomb, and it has a lovely fresh taste. Just thought I would mention it !
Zola had his walk on the breakwater today, but it was fairly windy, and very few people around. When Zola comes back, I always give him a little warm wash in the bathroom wash-basin - I think he must get a fair bit of salt on his skin, and it seems to make it very dry. He used to object, but now he likes it - especially when I trickle water high over his head. Then he gets dried and we have our stroking session, while his dad gets the supper ready.
We have a couple more bird feeders outside the kitchen window - 12 now, I think -it really is lovely seeing all the young ones learning how to use the feeders !
Love to you, Jacky,Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Yes I've had Mackie's ice-cream Angie and it's lovely but I also like Cornish ice-cream and when we went on holiday to Devon or Cornwall we used to love the cream teas! We've had quite a bit of rain here in the last twenty-four hours and it has been cooler. Therefore Jacky had a lie in and she didn't eat much today. I would be watching those birds all day Angie! My friend whose funeral I went to on Friday had a lovely garden near Belfairs Woods and the birds that came to the feeders were Blue ****, Great **** (I bet this will be censored!), Greenfinches, Chaffinches, Goldfinches and squirrels (the latter wasn't so popular with my friend).

Did you all see Sherman and David Mitchell on Google? I would love to stroke Sherman. The landlords have confirmed power outages in my area including one at midday today which I didn't know about. Anyway they will ring up tomorrow to see if there were any in the night which is good. The washing machine has settled but I don't want to put anything in the machine tomorrow because I won't be around if anything happens again.

Goodnight everyone

Dear Natrah - thank you very much for your birthday wishes -I know I said I would write more today, but I'm waiting for Richard to get his photos sorted for me to send as well.Today we were both fairly tired, but Richard gave Zola a long walk on the breakwater in the sun - he had a lovely time, and he met some really nice people, who were very interested in him- and of course he got wished a Happy Birthday from them all !
Yesterday he spent a lot of time on my lap in the car, so he appreciated his exercise today !
You may notice I have treated myself to Platinum membership of the tortoise club as a birthday treat !!!
Lots of love to you, Jacky and Angel Daisy, and to all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxxxx and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

I've had a funny day and Jacky's still up but anyway I'll start at the beginning with the washing machine still messed up. The engineer is coming tomorrow and so hopefully it will all be sorted. I tend to get anxious when these things happen but this happened when I was caring for dad and I got through it.

Anyway I had some good news in that another pupil passed her grade one Piano although I thought she was very dodgy at one stage. Hopefully she will be encouraged to be more organised and do more practice. I am boiling hot here and Jacky has been lazing around and trying to avoid her supplements but I would like to know how when I went out to the launderette the Bio plant food ended up on it's side on the floor 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!

Goodnight everyone

Good evening everyone!

The washing machine has a hole in the drum and it has been leaking for some time. The landlords are sending someone to look at the floor on Monday and I won't have to pay for that and providing they can sort by Friday the engineer can comeback and repair it. I know that the washing machine will need to be replaced at some point though but one thing that concerns was that the plumber kept talking about a confined space so how did the washing machine get in there and also it needed to be repaired since I moved here so how did it get in and out?

According to the email two engineers will come back and I will make sure that they remove the cupboard door to give themselves more room. Anyway I remember when the washing machine went on the blink when dad started having several falls before going into the care home so I need about that difficult time and count my blessings.

Goodnight everyone

I hope it can all be sorted out. Do you have repair insurance on your washing machine? You might need a new drum. Some repairs are so expensive it might be more viable to get a new one.
