I will be reading The Hunchback of Notre Dame in honour of the day and the fact that The great cathedral has reopened it's doors to the public again at last, after years of restoration! Hoooray!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. It was nice how they really tried to restore it exactly like it was. I admire the skilled people it takes to do something like that.

I will.
A spider is teaching me how to make cobwebs.
It's really difficult.
Is the spider a Spin Doctor ?
Hello Tidgy - I am very impressed by all the things you do - I too like to have an interesting life ! I am particularly fond of the sea, which I go to look at every day - and marvel at how it always looks different. Down the coast a bit from where I live, there are some well-known surfing areas, and, as you can see, I am getting pretty good at it. I don't suppose you get a chance to learn to surf where you live, but if you ever come over here for a vist, I would love to meet you and we could see who would catch the biggest waves together ! You would like it, I'm sure.
Zola
p.s.the waves are not usually this big ! ! !

Good morning/afternoon/ evening all. Hope everyone's well.
I've had quite a busy week, even managed a train trip to Birmingham in the Midlands to meet my sister and collect Alfie from her. They are away all weekend so I offered to look after him until they pick him up next week. We only had a few hours together in Brum just enough time for lunch before we had to catch our respective trains home.
Alfie is a very good traveller and just curls up on the floor of trains and buses. He was pretty funny when we went through a shopping centre en the way back to the station and had to walk over a bridge with glass sides, he just hit the floor - spread eagled and refused to move so we had to carry him. I knew he doesn't like bridges over any water but wasn't expecting that reaction in a mall 😄
He's quite at home here and we managed a quick walk today before the rain.

We have the start of Storm Darragh battering us at the moment with heavy rain and winds of 50+mph in my area which are expected to reach more than 60 mph by Sunday 😱.
It already sounds terrifying.
It will be even worse for other areas so there's bound to be some serious damage. Are you affected by this @zolasmum and @MaNaAk ? Stay safe if you are.

Alfie is a creature of habit and is pestering me for his food now, so I'd better go and see to him. TTFN

Dear Lyn,

The winds okay at the moment but I had to walk home in the pouring rain. You be careful as well and also Angie who was describing the wind in Devon.

Goodnight everyone

Don't you just love bubble wrap! 💗 I still can't resist it. Try twisting it 😜pop pop pop pop pop
Yeah, I get a lot of it sent to me wrapping up fossils to protect them in the post.
I spend more time popping the bubble wrap than I do looking at the fossils!

The spider was a Web Designer.

Hello, Zola, nice to meet you!
Yes, Daddy and I have a lot of fun together and I do a lot by myself too.
Daddy sometimes goes to the coast at Essaouira where there are excellent waves and wind for water sports, but I don't like to travel too far from home, myself, except for Mt Everest and stuff, of course.
Love the photo of you surfing. You are clearly very cool.
I would love to catch waves with you very much indeed.
One day.....................
Tidgy

Enjoy the Holiday off 4T! Any day off of work is a good day!

A bit breezy here today and temps dropping, we're into the 20s now. I believe that EVERY leaf we had raked, is back in the yard, blown in by the winds! LOL Good times. My antenna is up, sitting on top of the ground until it warms a little next week when I'll do the permanent install. Right now, 3-24" zipties screwed into the side of a shed then wrapped and zipped to the pole are holding it against 30-40mph winds. Its fine...amazingly fine.

We went to the Retreat campus today to pen in next June for her families reunion. They are a Christian retreat place with several buildings along with canoeing and a pool...all the stuff on the waterfront, +. Kinda neat place. When we got there we saw a Bald Eagle and this was after seeing a dozen deer in the back yard earlier. The best part of this place is that I can bail and come home!!

OK, anyone see the TV commercial where the inlaw asks "did you hear the owl?" Go watch it! I think it might be a verbo or air B&B or something. I have never felt such an immediate and intense feeling of guilt in response to something I've watched in my entire adult life as I did at her question. Kerry and I both nearly fell out of chairs.

Last year I got all my cards out early and presents ready early and they still arrived whenever USPS decided. Or the donkey method. So bah humbug here too 😭 I'm late getting anything done but even if I was early it'll all get done when USPS decides to deliver it. So I think I'll send out Christmas cards with have a happy day on them. We'll see. I haven't poked my head out the door enough to do anything. It's freezing here.

It is the Finnish independence day tomorrow, and we have it off, so I will be travelling tonight to see my parents. It is kinda of a part of the "holiday season" here. How about you, anyone else starting to feel festive 😁
Thanksgiving is maybe the equivalent here. People travel to have a meal together. It kicks off the holiday season here. This year it kicked me awake 😭 bah humbug
