Okay! So here shortly I will be giving Memito a much bigger home. I not going to build it from scratch as I am going to just repurpose an old dresser. I've seen in many outdoor enclosures that they have placed a humid hide. Memito will be staying inside because there are too many feral cats around here that I just don't trust. Would it be appropriate to have a humid hide with a wire screen top for the enclosure? Or would I still have to cover it and get the 80% humidity?

Especially indoors it will be just about impossible to have it very humid with a screen top. Also, treat the wood. Make sure that it's not particle board as it will fall apart when wet.

it most likely will have to be covered. Since you are using an old dresser can you use the drawers as a top? take the drawer apart and use the bottom of the drawer as a top?

A screen top would be great on an outdoor enclosure to get sunlight in and keep cats out.

What about plexiglass? I'm not sure how much it runs but it'll probably be better than the cheap plastic table sheet thing I have now.

Plexiglas works well in a cross-supported frame if it is a single large piece. Smaller pieces won't require frames.
