That looks like a FANTASTIC place to live Angie!!!!!
I don’t see any houses for the bushes!!!!
😍😍😍😍😍😍

I am soooo jealous!
We live on the edge of a small village - no shops -just a post office -and have 2 houses on our right, facing out, and a straggly few on our left heading into the village centre,( which is almost non-existent).We had lived in London for a long time, and are very glad we moved here - we love the peace and privacy. The only reason for us ever to move is if Richard became unable to drive, because I can't drive, and there is no public transport. As Zola likes to look at the sea every day (4 miles or so away) that would be a problem ! If you and Sylvia would like to pop over the pond for a visit, you would be very welcome - I often think when we are out for a lovely drive that I wish I could show the beautiful scenery around us to some of the people I know on the forum !

Good evening everyone!

Yes Jacky's eating a bit with my encouragement but I had to put lettuce in her mouth to start with! However when she realised what it was she was quite delighted. She's just not got her normal diet and appetite back yet.

I hope you've all had a good day. Mine was okay until I found that my friend with a brain tumour had passed away. She received her diagnosis a year ago and was in a nursing home so she put up a good fight. Anyway she's out of pain now and she is flying high

Goodnight everyone

No more suffering or pain. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend. As we get older we seem to lose more friends than we gain.
Pete & his friends landed in Auckland NZ tonight at long last. I have been tracking the flights & watched as it went over Europe towards China. The second leg of the journey was over Indonesia then to the right side of Australia to NZ. I’m sure they will be very tired & jet lagged. They have a full itinerary of trips & excursions so I hope they will recover quickly.
George is looking for him🥹

Dear Angie,
I would love to see the views around your house that you speak of!
Can you take a video with your phone?

The last time I was on a plane was back in 1985!!!!!
I went to Puerto Rico with my friend and her mom.
I haven’t flown since…
Is that bad?

I just never needed to go anywhere?
Ooooo…. The world I must be missing !!😫

I only watch shows that have scenery in them so I feel like I have traveled. 🤣

I am so very sorry for your loss.
You were both better for knowing one another though..
Like you said….
At least she is free and out of pain.
God bless her soul. 🙏❤️🌈

Good morning everyone!

I shall think of my friend when I attend the European Piano Teachers pupils concert on Sunday. My pupils aren't taking part as it is a Jazz event but I'm looking forward to seeing other people's pupils playing.

Someone else is tucking into dandelions, Romaine Lettuce and tomatoes without me needing to prompt her. I hope Dickie, George and Peter are okay. Has Pete arrived yet? Hope you're okay Sue

Natrah
yes see #3283
George is wondering where Pete is. He’s eating okish & is due his next b12 injection on Thursday.
I picked a couple of dandelion heads for Dickie earlier. I had to get her out from under the ivy where she was asleep so she wasn’t all that interested but did eat one. The playing field where I found them was very sunny but our garden is in shade which is probably why Dickie isn’t very active.
I’ve been talking to a lady who has a number of budgies to rehome
& she’s got one called Daisy who may be a suitable companion for Peter, similar age & very calm. She will bring her round tomorrow so I’ve had to sort out another cage to put her in so they can be introduced carefully.
Once Pete comes home he can put the new cage together that arrived just before Lucy died. That way they can both move into a new enclosure without any territorial issues. Fingers crossed.
It’s feeling like hard work with all the cleaning out…..Dickie left me a dishevelled mess before I put her outside!

It was sunny today, so Zola had his walk - a particularly good one, as the stones were warm from the sun, and there weren't a great many people around - he went to the end of the breakwater and halfway back - then Richard felt he'd had enough, but he would probably have kept on going. A man with a dog was watching, but keeping his dog on the lead, and Richard thanked him for doing that. He said it was a wonderful experience to watch Zola, and that he would never have believed it possible. When Zola got back home,he was really tired, and happy just to tuck himself inside his mum's fleece by the fire for a very long stroke. He is such a dear little chap !
I am glad it has got a bit warmer here, as we have oil-fired central heating, and not a lot of oil left in our tank - it is very difficult to get any at the moment, and it is much more expensive - we are regretting we didn't fill the tank a few weeks ago. This house is quite old- 100 years or so, and was just a farm workers home - then it got a bit more added to it over time, but not much thought given to luxuries like insulation!
Thank you, Natrah, for remembering us every day - Zola and I say goodnight to all our friends each night too - and of course, we have added little Sylvia to the list now ! Where are you going to the Piano Teachers concert, Natrah ?
Love to all from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxxx

Dear Chef,

I think you mean Moggymad's cat George who has his injection today.

Guess who's clearing up a mess!
Me too!
Thanks for remembering

ps he doesn’t know yet! It’s with the nurse & as it’s only 1 injection I think he will tolerate it. It’s next week we see vet for hopefully final inj & what happens next.

Pps Chef I’m sure George doesn’t mind being mistaken for a dog! He acts like one the way he guards the garden & chases off all cats!
