Very sad to hear how Niilo is. All our little creatures are special to us. Hoping he is comfortable & dreaming of slurping on his favourite food & human. Itās hard when we canāt do anything to help xA bit of a sadder post,
Niilo has been suffering from deep retraction syndrome and hasn't been eating or pooping normally for the last few weeks. He is turning five soon which is pretty old for his species, and his sibling had deep retraction syndrome before he died. From my research deep retraction syndrome seems to be pretty much a certain death sentence. He is sleeping a lot and I don't know if he will make it

Sorry Gary please donāt worry, I hardly feel a thing.
I think I may feel the blood test on Monday though so I will have to bite my lip (or the vet š)
Im sure the forum experts will give good advice thankyou. I know they will say I should be indoors under a lamp when itās cooler but that doesnāt work for me as I feel trapped & pace around looking to escape. It is very stressful. Our changing temperatures are a problem but I have managed to adapt pretty well so far.
Weāll see what the test shows ( last one was ok). I like making a fine old mess on my journey in protest!
I'm so sorry about this - he is obviously a very special snail, but at least you know you have given him a good life, and that he has lived to a good age. Zola and I will be thinking of him and wishing him well.A bit of a sadder post,

You never know you could be much better by the time it comes to hibernation although Sue and Pete might consider building an indoor enclosure just incase. However this might make George a bit jealous.

Good evening everyone,
A bit of good news today in that my eldest nephew has got into Reading University. He will be studying archaeology and ancient history! Mum and dad would have been so proud. It was mum's anniversary yesterday and I put some roses in a vase.
I hope Dickie and Angie are okay.

Dear Natrah -I didn't get my walk today, because my dad had to do some important things in the garden, but at least I had a long stroke from my mum. I shall be singing Happy Birthday to you tomorrow with my mum, and if my dad is there he will sing too, because he is a proper singer, unlike us. He used to come to the special school where my mum taught, to sing and play guitar to the children sometimes, and every single one of the children listened and behaved themselves. !!

Please try this because my mom does it to me to give me a bath and get me to come out and eat. Then have him sit you on a cuttle bone š¦“ for some maybe needed calcium? Or in his hand for warmth.

That's okay Angie and I'm looking forward to hearing you two singing. Sue the sun's just coming here and there was a cold breeze which meant that Jacky decided to have her breakfast later. Also I remember the year after mum's death I came back from in after the first week of August to find that dad was worried because Jacky and Daisy hadn't been eating. Summer that year had been miserable but we decided to take them to the vets for a checkup and they were fine they just thought it was time to hibernate! Anyway I can still remember that the vets we had then were only two roads away and during the three drive Daisy needed to relieve herself š¤£š¤£ so goodness knows what sort of mess Dickie would have made in a two hour car journey!

Good afternoon everyone!
Daisy would have been good at the 1000 metres in the Olympics because she used to bash the back door of the old house and we would take her to the bottom of the garden only for to back at the back door a few minutes later. We would repeat this over and over for about half an hour until madam grew bored and started to do something else!
