My dad was up on the (flat) kitchen roof today, doing some mending and painting, so he wasn't able to take me for a walk, but I had a good cuddle and stroke from my mum, of course.

Unfortunately the Lancaster couldn't land at Southend after all and the Typhoon turned up whilst I was in the lavatory! I think Jacky saw more the previous day.

Dickie went to vet today & had another antibiotic injection. On weds she is having a blood test & possibly an X-ray.
She hasn’t eaten today as it’s been cloudy & windy & has started raining this evening. We’ve moved her kennel from the patio onto the lawn so it gets the sun earlier in the hope that it improves things. She did actually come out herself earlier than recently so perhaps it will help. Trouble is the weather wasn’t good & she went back in after a little while.
The specialist vet has offered an appt next week but we’ll see how things go. The vet has said they have seen a few torts with the same problem in the last few weeks so it would seem to be weather related.
Glad the tortoise in the news clip got back to its owners 😊

We shall be thinking about you tomorrow Dickie so pleased let us know how you get on. Zola did you go out today? I went to put Jacky out this morning and there was a van parked outside. The lady recognised me and asked after Jacky. I didn't recognise her straight away but she was one of the receptionists at the vets. I explained that Jacky seems to be going into pre-hibernation and she wasn't surprised but she agreed that it would be a good idea for another checkup before hibernation. Anyway Jacky has gone to bed early because the plumber was here and I wasn't sure when he would be back so I put Jacky into her bed to get her out of the way. I would have put her out again but she was fast asleep. The cold water has gone again and the plumber thinks it's some blockage in a pipe that's higher up. Anyway he has to come back to the the work but I still have the cold water in the kitchen.

Oh dear hope it gets sorted out quickly.
Dickie decided not to come out as it was pretty windy & rainy this morning. She was looking out the door & thought better of it. When the sun emerged Pete got her out ( she had buried herself again in her straw) & she stayed in the sun basking. When we got back she was in her bed again. She wasn’t interested in her food today. We won’t know the blood results for a few days but they might do an X-ray just to make sure she isn’t eggbound. Will let you know but I feel it is the weather affecting Dickie & Jackie to some degree.

The weather started off rather poor, but it brightened up later, and I was able to go for a long walk on the breakwater - I met several really nice people, including some young girls who were very interested in me - I don't think any of them had been close to a tortoise before. My dad let each of them hold me and give me a cuddle - he knew I had already had a wee and left a present elsewhere,so I was fairly safe to be held ! It is very nice to be appreciated and admired, and I am sure there are photos of me on peoples phones in a lot of places all over the world !
I'm sorry about your plumbing problems -we have been waiting for a long time for the plumber to re-do our shower arrangement, which is leaking a bit - he is coming in a few weeks to service the oil-fired cooker, so my mum and dad are going to put some pressure on him then to do it !

I've just remembered something 🤣 and Jacky and Daisy must have a great view of this. Dad told mum that he was going to do some work on this in the old house but neither of them told me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I went into the bathroom for my morning and when I turned the taps on there was a lot of shouting.....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I've just remembered something 🤣 and Jacky and Daisy must have a great view of this. Dad told mum that he was going to do some work on this in the old house but neither of them told me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I went into the bathroom for my morning and when I turned the taps on there was a lot of shouting.....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
