Hope you get better soon!Good evening everyone!
Just a quick note to say both of us spent a lot of the day sleeping. Jacky is not completely out of hibernation and I have been ill.
Goodnight

Glad you’re getting better. Once the boiler is replaced I hope you’ll feel much more comfortable too.Good evening everyone!
This is a bit short as I am still recovering but I got to the funeral and then to the shop. Tomorrow I have to clearout for the boiler on Friday.
Goodnight everyone
Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy
I wish I could pick dandelion leaves for Edward, but despite the warm weather we have been having (by this I mean like 3c), we still have 31 cm of snow.Hello Natrah - I do hope you are feeling a lot better, especially since you have to clear things out for the boiler installation. I am still sorting out stuff from the bathroom that we had to clear out when we had our new shower put in months ago!
It has been really cold here today, but when we went to look at the sea the water was a wonderful blue - I haven't seen it like that for months. The sky was an interesting mix of darkish grey cloud, white fluffy clouds, and areas of bright blue! It was a pity Richard didn't have his camera.
Zola seemed to realise it wasn't breakwater weather, and he and I had a peaceful afternoon. We actually found a couple of dandelion leaves, which he was pleased about.
Lots of love to you and all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxxxxxand Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!Hello Natrah -I'm so glad you've got your heating back.
It was sunny this afternoon, and we went out to see if we could find any lambs -finally we did find one large field with about 20, with their mums, of course, and it was wonderful to watch them playing. But most of the fields didn't have any sheep, even - this is very unusual. I hope it's just because of the cold that they are all being kept inside.
There are lots of daffodils everywhere, and more opening every day. They are mostly not the small delicate wild daffodils, but large sturdy ones. The reason is that Cornwall and Devon used to be famous for their daffodil farms, and every spring, they would send huge numbers of daffodils to London by train. However, the First World War came, and all the daffodil bulbs had to be dug up, so the farmers could grow food in their fields. So the women and children planted these bulbs by the roadsides and in any empty spaces they could find - the bulbs flowered and multiplied - and still go on doing so ! As a result, there are many thousands of daffodils everywhere - all large bright ones- and the hedges and grass verges are full of colour!
I think the same thing happened in WW2 as well.
The starlings have finally left our garden, which is a great relief, both to us and to the little birds on the feeders who they have been bullying. The robin is taking lots of worms away, especially. Maybe the swallows will be along soon to our car-port - they are messy chaps, and cover the car with their droppings, but we admire them so much for making the long journey from Africa that we can never really complain.
Love to you, Jacky and Angel Daisy, and to all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxxxx
