Happy New Year Zola, Dickie, Sherman, Edward, Sally, Squirt,

I can't understand why Natrah is putting me to bed when I have just woken up!

Happy New Year Jacky!
Dickie had her first taste of a little bit of food today. Had to hold it to her mouth as usual & she had 4 bites. She’s had her first wee too..all good so far! Pity the weather is changing in a few days time.
Think she’s taken lessons from Jacky as shes been getting under the reptile cloth, trying to tip over the water & getting herself jammed in corners.
After her morning soak I have been putting her in the porch where it’s nice & warm from the morning sun. She has been climbing over the shoes & the other day was buried under a pile of post that had just come through the letterbox. Oops! Once the sun moves round to the back garden she has gone outside to have a good wander. George decided to lay in Dickies kennel. He seems to remember her.
Lots of fun to come soon Jacky!
Hope something is done about your boiler very soon Natrah as it is getting colder again soon 🤞

Hope you soon feel better 🤞
Good morning everyone!

Feeling a bit better and I had a lovely dream of dad pre-Alzheimers where I was greeting him in his old coat. I did hear the neighbours in the night though but I was pleased to get back to sleep and have this dream.

Good evening everyone!

Yes I'm feeling better today but I am to get a new boiler so I hope it doesn't get too much colder before then. I didn't go into work today but I should be okay to teach tomorrow and to go to my friend's husband's funeral. Angie have you heard about your injections yet? I hope you're feeling better. Zola have you been behaving yourself Jacky is amused by your behaviour? I am keeping Jacky in the Pet Carrier for another few days especially as I am slightly concerned that they could turn off the electricity whilst installing the boiler. They say that they shouldn't need to do this but I want to be sure that Jacky is okay especially as the enclosure light doesn't like being turned off suddenly. I have always allowed Jacky and Daisy to go back into hibernation for a short while before they come out.

Goodnight everyone

Good evening everyone!

This is a bit short as I am still recovering but I got to the funeral and then to the shop. Tomorrow I have to clearout for the boiler on Friday.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy
Glad you’re getting better. Once the boiler is replaced I hope you’ll feel much more comfortable too.
Funerals are hard to get through & no doubt your friend is glad of your ongoing support. Take care

Hello Natrah - I do hope you are feeling a lot better, especially since you have to clear things out for the boiler installation. I am still sorting out stuff from the bathroom that we had to clear out when we had our new shower put in months ago!
It has been really cold here today, but when we went to look at the sea the water was a wonderful blue - I haven't seen it like that for months. The sky was an interesting mix of darkish grey cloud, white fluffy clouds, and areas of bright blue! It was a pity Richard didn't have his camera.
Zola seemed to realise it wasn't breakwater weather, and he and I had a peaceful afternoon. We actually found a couple of dandelion leaves, which he was pleased about.
Lots of love to you and all our forum friends from Angie xxxxxxxxxxxand Zola xxxxxxxxxx

I wish I could pick dandelion leaves for Edward, but despite the warm weather we have been having (by this I mean like 3c), we still have 31 cm of snow.

Edwards servant ☺️ :<3: :tort:

Good evening everyone!

Yes I'm a lot but I had trouble sleeping last night because I was very stuffed. Yesterday's funeral went well and we went back to my friend's house for refreshments. I noticed all the beautiful daffodils at the crematorium and it would have been beautiful in the cemetery which is opposite. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't feel well enough to get up earlier and put flowers on mum and dad's graves but I can always go another day.

Anyway later in the day whilst I was in the shop the plumber sent a text saying I am going to fit the boiler in on Friday (I am renting) and this is good as I don't have the suffer this cold weather for too long but as Angie knows I had to spend this morning making everything in the part of the kitchen disappear🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 including the mess from the detergent bottles which I had been aiming to clean in my own time. Oh well it's good to get it done and after the boiler is fitted everything will have to reappear 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Jacky is quite okay and gone back into mini hibernation in the pet carrier at a healthy weight. She was very amused when she heard Zola's behaviour when he couldn't see the sea.

Goodnight everyone

Hello Natrah -I'm so glad you've got your heating back.
It was sunny this afternoon, and we went out to see if we could find any lambs -finally we did find one large field with about 20, with their mums, of course, and it was wonderful to watch them playing. But most of the fields didn't have any sheep, even - this is very unusual. I hope it's just because of the cold that they are all being kept inside.
There are lots of daffodils everywhere, and more opening every day. They are mostly not the small delicate wild daffodils, but large sturdy ones. The reason is that Cornwall and Devon used to be famous for their daffodil farms, and every spring, they would send huge numbers of daffodils to London by train. However, the First World War came, and all the daffodil bulbs had to be dug up, so the farmers could grow food in their fields. So the women and children planted these bulbs by the roadsides and in any empty spaces they could find - the bulbs flowered and multiplied - and still go on doing so ! As a result, there are many thousands of daffodils everywhere - all large bright ones- and the hedges and grass verges are full of colour!
I think the same thing happened in WW2 as well.
The starlings have finally left our garden, which is a great relief, both to us and to the little birds on the feeders who they have been bullying. The robin is taking lots of worms away, especially. Maybe the swallows will be along soon to our car-port - they are messy chaps, and cover the car with their droppings, but we admire them so much for making the long journey from Africa that we can never really complain.

Good evening everyone!

I have been enjoying the heat and hot water much simpler for washing and drying clothes as well. I have also been busy putting things back where they were and cleaning shelves and surfaces that I cleaned the other day🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣! The hoover and mop have also been busy and it's just as well that my sinuses are still blocked!

There was a very musical Blue Tit opposite the flat today and yesterday in Rayleigh I was walking through Sainsbury's car park and saw a Pied Wagtail. I have no idea what he was doing there as Rayleigh is further inland than where I live. I haven't seen Jacky for a few days so I think the cold weather and flat has put her back into hibernation for a short while. Sue how is Dickie? Is she still coming out?

Edward is it still 3 degrees? Chef hope you are okay.

Goodnight everyone

Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy
