Dear Natrah - it has been really hot here, though cooling off in the afternoon. I will be glad if it isn't that hot tomorrow, though we may be getting thundery showers, which won't be fun - however, it may mean Richard won't have to water the garden so much ! Zola had a good walk on the breakwater, and there was a cooling breeze - he is always really tired when his dad brings him back, and he seems to love his long stroke then,
Lots of love to you, Jacky, Angel Daisy, and all our forum friends from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Yes it was 29 degrees Celsius here and then it cooled off but when I got home I noticed that the thermostat was back up to 28 degrees Celsius. This is why I decided to put Jacky in the bathroom when I went out but when I got back I didn't see her straight away. I put jet back outside for some late sun but she was clearly ready for bed.

Anyway I hope you're all okay. I've been looking at the photo of Angie and Zola at Stonehenge and I remember going there as a teenager. I also think that a walk on the Breakwater is lovely in this weather. I imagine that Sherman and Dickie have been busy but I feel sorry for George with his fur. Edward what's it like in Finland at the moment and Chef how about where you are?

Goodnight everyone

George has been a floppy cat during this hot weather & usually finds a bush to lay under whilst watching what’s going on in the garden. He is rather overweight which makes it worse for him.
Dickie likes being out in the morning sun but today especially she found it too hot . Luckily we have plenty of shady places. Her house is in the shade until late afternoon when the sun moves round & the temperature on the inside was 35 degrees! No wonder she didn’t go back in. Pete took the lid off to cool it down a bit & tonight her door is open & the lid back a bit to let the cool air in.
Pete got a call from the animal sanctuary manager asking if he could go over & sort out the pond pump which has stopped working & a few fish have died. He couldn’t go today but suggested switching it off then on again which worked & it’s started pumping again. He’ll go tomorrow & clean it out, hopefully that’s the issue with it.
I don’t think Sherman is keen on the hot weather either. He will however be keen to see what Petes doing in the pond. It’s where he keeps trying to get to…☺️

Good afternoon everyone,

Jacky's thermostat read 29 degrees Celsius and she is enjoying herself! The Peonies are even better: Hope you're feeling better Angie.

Aahhhhh…. What beautiful flowers the peonies are.
One of my favorites is the Dalia.
A friend of mine used to bring me these HUGE Dalia’s to work.
They were stunning ..just like your peonies Natrah..🥰😍

Hey everybody,
I am hoping good weather for you all but I am afraid that I just heard it will be 97degrees almost ALL OF NEXT WEEK and FEEL like it is 101 degrees because of humidity.
In New Jersey these are almost certainly heard of temps so I don’t quite know how to handle it??
I don’t remember wanting to live in Africa? 😝
I am as of now melting from 84 degrees!!
I can’t imagine going to work and having to deal with kitchens all day ???????🥺😳🤯🫠🥵

Good evening everyone!

Just waiting for the bus home to arrive and the temperature is rather pleasant now. Unfortunately my stomach feels a bit strange and I think this is due to the heat. Of course in Malaysia where the temperature is always between 25 and 35 degrees Celsius we had fans in every room and we kept drinking water. Tortoises I hope you are all keeping hydrated as well as your parents not to mention George, Sherman and Squirt.

Jacky had an extra soak yesterday and she wasn't pleased but she is well hydrated and she left a massive present in the garden. Angie how are you feeling now my friend is in hospital having suffered an asthma attack due to the heat? She has been in hospital since Sunday and today she was moved to respiratory ward so that is a good sign.

I better go because the bus is nearly due but I hope to see the pony rides from the garage on the way back.

Goodnight everyone

A picture from the lake.
A small part of that lake goes to the Russian side of the border. We went rowing yesterday with my sister, trying to look for a quiet spot to have a little picnic. A lot of the good spots were full of people celebrating Midsummer, alcohol was definetly involved.

Edwards servant ☺️❤️🐢

Dear Natrah - we have had some very mixed weather -rain and sudden thunderstorms, with intermittent sun -and hot sticky times too - I think tomorrow will be calmer. We didn't let Zola have his walk - it was pretty windy and slippery on the breakwater -but he got a lot of attention from me in his room, and he was very good. My headache was really bad, so I was very grateful to him for not playing up - as if he actually sensed I needed him to be quiet and calm with me !
At least Richard hasn't needed to water the plants today - they are looking amazing, and I will send some photos tomorrow.
Our swallows are still lively in the carport, and we think they might have a third brood - and our robin pesters Richard for worms every time he gets a sight of him - also there is a blackbird who takes a lot away- we are glad we got a big box of worms online, as we can be generous with them.
Love to everyone from Angie xxxxxxxx and Zola xxxxxxxxxx

Good evening everyone!

Angie I thought of you when I saw the forecast yesterday and Sue did you get a thunderstorm in the evening. The temperature in Southend was hitting 30 degrees Celsius yesterday and it felt a bit oppressive. There were a couple of spots of rain when I walked into town to meet my friend for dinner at Tomassi's but that was all. Today was still hot with Jacky's thermostat hitting 27.50 degrees Celsius but then there was a breeze in the afternoon and a few spots of rain.

Both of us were out today and we both enjoyed thus weather although someone else enjoyed themselves in the bathroom. Jacky is now in bed after her busy day which included strolling over my like Sherman did Pete and I ended up at a garden party for the Southend Musical Festival stewards.

Zola did you get your stroll today? I had Jacky on my lap this morning and she had a long stroke which she seemed to love.

Goodnight everyone
