Dear Angie,Dear Natrah - Zola was in a very strange mood this morning - very lively and rather aggressive when he sat on my lap in the car - he kept trying to bite me, which is very unusual. Ithink it was caused by the heat - it went up to 34 degrees here . Anyway, he had a long walk on the breakwater - he behaved strangely there too - Richard said he kept coming back to him, which is very unusual, and he thought it might be in order to get into his dad's shadow. He didn't want to stop, though. This afternoon Zola once again immediately arranged himself close to my heart again for his rest and stroke, which he enjoyed a lot - the room we were in was shady and fairly cool, which was a relief. We do try to give him a happy life (and, of course, it makes us happy too.)
I envy you, Natrah and Chef, being able to have happy dreams of your parents - I rarely dream of mine at all, and when I do, they are bad dreams, and I'm glad to wake up to my precious little family of Richard and Zola.
Lots of love to all from Angie and Zola xxxxxxxxxx
I think we posted at the same time. I think the heat is to blame because whilst some people on this forum think that tortoises like the heat they also like the shade. Jacky and Daisy use to look for shelter in the middle of the day. I also think that this is why Jacky buries herself under the carpet strips in the enclosure although I know that tortoises like to dig. Jacky and Daisy also the rockery so they would love to walk on the breakwater like Zola.
Goodnight all three of you
Natrah, Jacky and Angel Daisy
