Jacques, the Eastern Mud Turtle

She has figured out how to train us to feed her by coming to the front of her tank, hopping up and down on her back feet while waving her front legs all around. At first she would eat anything we gave her, but now she'll sniff what we drop in, and if it's not salmon, she looks at us and walks off!!! So we now call this "The Salmon Dance."

And she really loves her cuttle bone! When she's attacking it vigorously and hitting it against the side of her tank, it can almost sound like someone knocking at the door!!!!!
