Never laid eggs. I gave her a warm bath and it looks a lot better now. She pooped. Why do you think this happened?

You need to give us a run down of the enclosure size and substrate, heat, lighting, humidity, diet.

She was probably straining to pass the feces. Do you soak the tortoise frequently? If not, I would recommend doing so, probably every other day to keep her well hydrated.

Another possible cause is straining to lay eggs, but if you haven't seen her acting uneasy, pacing about, or trying to dig a nest, that possibility is less likely.
