Yes all species are fine, leaves are also great. Don't use any from the florist though.

You may find that they may not eat all the varieties of roses you get, because they all have different smells, level of smell, ect.., Hiiscus meaning both the hardy and the Rose of Sharon/Althea bush? Enough shaded area for hostas? Daylily? They eat the bloom while the leaves make a hiding spot they are very hardy. Squash they grow quickly, offer great shade, and the blooms are wonderful to feed. With some types of tortoises they can eat the fruit too. Any way to have a grape vine? Great for adding shade and the leaves are one of my top food choices. Some of the succulents would be good. There is just an unlimited amount and variety to choose from for plants to place within your enclosure.

I have yet to see a preference among my tortoise towards one variety over another. You may want to get a type where you could use the grapes for your own uses.

I am not sure about anybody's grapes but my own and none of mine ever drop grapes on the ground. Mine stay in those bunches and if I wanted, I could just pick out the entire bunch as a bunch, not individuals. I don't use my grapes and I think the birds actually end up getting them all. :D
