What a difference a year make - Speke's Babies

1 year old and 1 day old.

I can't believe how big the yearlings are. The largest is 3 3/4 inches SCL. The others are 3 1/2. I'm very pleased with their growth. Very smooth.

Fun to see the difference next to the brand new hatchling...

Haha! I was thinking... "whats wrong with that middle tort's shell" and then realized there was a baby on him. Duh! LOL!

Awesome. Mine have been laying eggs hope I get it right. What method of incubation did you use. Temps- and did you do a dry and wet period?

I incubated just like Pyxis eggs. Warm - cool - warm. 8 weeks each cycle.

Got it. I will crank up the wine cooler incubator. Thats what I figured being southern african requiring a diapose.

First off, congrats on the new one! Of the older one, I am really liking the look of the one on the right. What weight are they now and what does the newest one weigh? Same parents or do you know?

Jacqui, I will weigh these guys. I'm very curious to see how much the yearlings weigh. They are like little bricks.

As far as the parents go, I have 2.2 adults together. I have seen both females nest but I'm not sure which female dug the next the new babies are from...
