Good evening everyone!

I hope Chef feels better soon and Angie as well. My cold is well on it's way now which is just as well as I have my cholesterol blood test tomorrow and I'm pleased to say that I also collected my prescription which was all intact. It's been a lovely but last night it was very foggy and there were cyclists and scooters on pavements with no lights and cars going too fast

I hope Zola was okay today after his activities and soon I shall be able to tell you all about Jacky's activities.

I just gave her that name in case I come up with a BETTER ONE….(hint..hint….)

She came about because my husband thought I missed Gary tooooo much .?
You should see the size difference!!!
Gary will always be my little doodle bug-booger pants and now I have to give this little one a chance at a good life too.
She resides in Gary’s tank (after a good washing and soapy scrub)….
Well… there ya go.
There’s my surprise. I just hope I don’t get her sick!????

Yes I remember that song Angie and I shall look it up in my grandmother's Shakespeare book. I had my cholesterol blood test and now I've just had breakfast at Havens Hub. It's a lovely spring day here and I'm pleased to see my hyacinths flowering. I also pleased to hear the Blue **** calling when I left the flat.

I feel like spring is coming closer and closer, I have this sun catcher and today is the first time this year after the winter that it is actually working and producing reflections.

Sylvia is adorable. As far as I know, the most important thing in preventing deep retraction syndrome in snails is diet. I am sure you can find info on the diet of you specific species online.

When does your summertime begin? We will change the clocks at the end of the month but at the moment it is light at 7.00 am to about 6.30 pm.

It won't begin here until the 29th. I think it might the same all over in Europe, because I am travelling to Berlin at the end of the month and it is the same there. Here the sun rises now at 7 am and sets about 6 pm so about the same as you.

I haven’t seen any yet but I’m not out & about much, I think the silver birch in the neighbours garden grows them? It s not got any yet.

Birches don't have them here yet. The ones I have seen were some kind of willows, maybe goat willows?

Zola had a walk on the breakwater today, and had a good time,but he was really cold when he got back, and needed a long time under my fleece to warm up - then it was time for his stroke by the fire, which warmed him up even more -he does really enjoy this ritual every day, and sometimes gets quite cross in advance if he thinks it isn't going to happen ! I'm not sure what we shall do in the summer - I hope some nice drives will put it out of his mind - until next winter.
We have seen lots of daffodils everywhere now -including some on our front lawn -and Zola has lots of periwinkle flowers just outside one of his windows. On our drives we also see drifts of snowdrops, primroses,and celandines - and also daisies, of course -the grass is looking greener and more cheerful too.
The winter here hasn't been all that cold - very little snow and ice - but it has been grey and dark all the time, and very depressing. I am looking forward to my cataract operations, as I understand that things look much brighter and more colourful afterwards !

I’m jealous because it’s raining here but hot?
I hope your blood tests came back normal and everything is fine.
