His old bath verses the new one (please note I use his small bath to change out dried out food or anything he won't eat by end of day. Today he ate hibiscus leaves and flower, pellets and some collard green leaf. I had dandelion in there but he doesn't seem interested I'll have to try other kinds)
From what I have found, this may a
Chlorophytum orchidastrum, a relative of the spider plant. Tortoise Table has no results. Any idea if this is the same plant and if it is safe?

Hi all,
I’m planning a new enclosure for my three male sulcatas (just bought a new house). I have a large 2 acre field that is fenced at the outer perimeter and that I’ve found naturally separates into three subsections internally when it rains due to water pooling. I’m considering trenching...
Hello,
I see others have also asked about watery eyes, but I haven’t found the answer, so…
I have 2 sulcatas here in Altadena (Los Angeles area). They are 5 years old - brothers from the same clutch
They’ve lived outdoors almost their whole lives, now so big they’ve dug burrows, so they are...
Hi! I recently have taken in three sulcata’s who are said to be around 4 year’s old. My issue right now with them is that they are COVERED in ticks. When I say covered I mean I’ve probably picked and killed around 30 ticks in the last 24 hours. I’ve been picking them off carefully between...
Made a space between my garden boxes for Herbie to roam when I am outside. Today is hot and I sprayed it all with water and threw Mazuri around. He seems to be very content.
I have a male Russian box and a female Sulcata (we think) that needs rehoming. They were both rescues given to me at different times a few years ago, and I haven't been able to give them the care and dedication they deserve. The Russian is at least 8 or 9 years old; the Sulcata might be less...

At that point I got rid of the terrarium and set up a location where her heat lamp and uv lamp were set up for her to use as she pleases but I'd say a...
So I got 2 sulcata babies, poki and poro, live together on 1 enclosure (70x50cm). I managed to get around 80 % humidity and 33° C temp on cool side and around 45° C on basking zone, I try to get lower humidity now since poki always get runny nose almost every month.
I'm so confused on why only...
Below are some pictures of the enclosure I've been setting up for his (Cronan) long awaited arrival.
Substrate is about 70/30 topsoil and cypress mulch with the mulch layered on top. Can't wait for his arrival this upcoming week, are there any last minute things I should pick up to make his...
Hello! We operate a 13 acre nonprofit farm sanctuary in the North Carolina foothills and are interested in finding an adoptable sulcata tortoise to join our motley crew.
Hi everyone! I have raised my 6-year-old male Sulcata since he was a hatchling, but life circumstances are now making it untenable for me to keep him. He is about 14 inches long, 9 inches wide, and weighs probably only about 8 pounds. He is in great health, raised on a grass and hay diet mostly...
